Dear Members,
The South Australian Billiards & Snooker Association (BSASA) is taking part in the 2026 People First Community Lottery, and we’re asking our members to get behind it.
This is a fantastic opportunity because 100% of the funds raised from tickets sold through our BSASA page come back to the Association.
The money raised will help us continue investing back into our members and our sport — maintaining and improving our venue, purchasing equipment, providing trophies and awards, and helping us run tournaments and events.
Tickets are only $2 each
And there’s plenty to play for:
3 cars to be won
40 prizes in total
Over $300,000 worth of prizes
For just $2, you get a chance to win a fantastic prize while supporting the future of Billiards and Snooker in South Australia.
The stronger the Association is, the more we can put back into our sport — and ultimately, we all benefit.
We’d love every member to get involved. Buy a few tickets, encourage your family and friends to have a go, and share our fundraiser wherever you can.

OUR MISSION
The Association represents the interests of cue sports enthusiasts, aiming to promote these interests on a state and national level through recognized competitions for which it provides qualified referees.
We also strive to maintain the social interaction which has always been a hallmark of these sports.
Snooker Championship
Invented way back in the 19th century after making a few changes to billiards, snooker is a cue sport that originated among British army officers stationed in the Indian town of Jabalpur. It involves the use of 21 object balls that comprise of 15 red balls and 6 coloured balls. Over the years, popularity of this cue sport has been on a steep rise in many countries worldwide. One such country is Australia, in particular Adelaide and South Australia.
Snooker’s popularity can be attributed to several factors. For starters, it’s a fun sport to watch and it’s enjoyable for those who are playing it. Furthermore, several snooker championship games are held on a yearly basis to help increase its popularity.
